The B-wbl Apprenticeship and JGW+ Awards 2023 took place on Friday 19th May at the Swansea.com stadium in Swansea.

In the category of Apprentice of the year, Luningning Jones, a learner who completed both Level 2 and Level 3 awards in Health & Social Care with Cymru Care Training, was nominated for the award.

Luningning, known to everyone as Lou Lou, was nominated for Apprentice of the Year Award because she is a learner who has succeeded under very difficult circumstances which is due to her unwavering perseverance and determination. She is a very caring individual, and her motivation comes from
trying to better herself and refusal to give up when others may have been overwhelmed. Lou Lou is a very valued employee Plas Cwmcynfelin Care Home, and the manager explained that she can rely on Lou Lou to carry out a multitude of tasks and roles, and she is multi-skilled and willing to do whatever is needed to ensure the smooth running of the home. Lou Lou is always looking to improve herself and has ambitions to progress in her field.
Lou Lou has stood out because she is an inspiration to others and should be commended for her commitment and service to others. She has overcome great personal barriers and her determination to succeed despite all of her difficulties is very humbling.

On the night, Lou Lou didn't win, but was runner up for the Apprentice of the Year award. We are all very proud of her! Congratulations, Lou Lou.
