As is the case every year, during 2021-22, all employers who had employees completing an apprenticeship course with Cymru Care Training were asked to complete an Employer Voice survey. The survey responses are used to inform, develop and improve planning, practise and resources in order to deliver a better service to our learners, their employees.

 

The results from the 2021-22 survey were as follows:

As well as completing the survey questions, employers were asked to comment on how having an apprentice had added value to their organisation. Some of the comments left included...

"This supports us as a provider to maintain well qualified staff to provide a high level of person centred care to our residents."

"The support they get from Cymru Care enables them to question and bring ideas themselves to the company and it also gives them the reasons why we do things in a certain way."

"Having trained staff team adds safety and experience to the home, and provide better care and support people we support."

"Staff have had the opportunity and encouragement to further their knowledge and qualifications."

"One of my Apprentices with the training and support has enabled him to succeed to Deputy Manager as he is able with the help and guidance from CCT undertake all relevant training to succeed in his field in social care."

"The apprenticeships raise awareness among our carers and assist them to maintain high standards of care. The courses encourage them to think creatively about person centred care and this creative thinking has encouraged new initiatives within the Home that help to deliver a richer and more outcome-focused experience for our service users."
