A learner with Cymru Care Training won the 'Inspirational use of Welsh' award at the B-wbl consortium awards ceremony on Friday 7th June, 2024.

Ahmed Abdul Rahim was nominated for the award due to his use of the Welsh language with residents at Glanmarlais Care Home in Carmarthenshire.

Both his manager at the home and his assessor at Cymru Care, spoke of Ahmed's determination to develop his grasp of the Welsh language, despite it being his fourth language, and use it to interact with the residents at Glanmarlais to better meet their needs.
