Cymru Care Training today donated 25 Chromebooks to the Donate IT Wales campaign, suporting children who need devices to access the internet for home learning during the Covid-19 lockdown. Thousands of school children in Wales still do not have internet access or the laptops needed to keep up with home learning. Donate IT is a campaign to decrease the digital poverty gap for school children in Wales by giving preloved laptops a new lease of life. Cymru Care's Curriculum Director, Valerie Jones (pictured), organised the donation, after hearing that some schools were reporting that over 20% of their pupils could not access online learning from home. The donation included 20 brand new Chromebooks and 5 which were previously used by Cymru Care staff.
