December 25th (Early Morning)PlygainA very early Christmas morning church service, traditionally held between 3 am and 6 am. It features unaccompanied carol singing (canu plygain) in three or four-part harmony, often by local groups, choirs, and soloists. This custom is still very much alive, particularly in rural and mid-Wales.
