In the Orthodox Christian tradition, Saint Vladimir the Great is commemorated on July 15th. He is also known as Vladimir I of Kiev and the Baptizer of Rus'. This day celebrates his conversion to Christianity and the subsequent Christianization of Kievan Rus', which is now present-day Russia and Ukraine.
